PROS:
The good thing about 10 mega Nikon Coolpix is to be mentioned here; it is the successor to last years 12 – mega pixel 290 model. It is easy to carry just weighing 481 grams. It can capture 10 whopping frames at full resolution per second.
CONS:
Unfortunately, this camera cannot keep up its speed for a long time. The lens element can be slow down while rotating in the direction to adjust focal length.
The Nikon Coolpix is now available in price $ 349.99in the UK/ US.
OUTLOOK
The Nikon P100 has the typical bridge kind camera look. It is easy top carry by having a chunky hand grip that’s why comfortably be fitted in your right hand. More over this grip is rubberized to you convenience in carrying it. It has a large lens barrel. It also has an eye level electronic view finder and pop up flash. The popping of flash of Nikkon P100 can be done manually with the help of button on its side. It is also possible to use manual focusing while working with this camera.
A rudimentary distance scale is also displayed on the right hand side of the screen through which a focus can be adjustable with up and down buttons. The stereo microphones are also visible at the top of camera right behind the flash button.
FUNCTION:
AF, macro, Infinity and manual are includes in the P100 focus mode. You can easily do zooming by convention zoom lever with the help of button that is near to hand grip. This camera is selectable from a point. 12 human faces can be detected in face priority AF mode of this camera. The whole process is not very speedy but, still working with it is good once the focus system starts its function.
The function of wind noise reduction is also available in the movie menu. It is well reputed for its super zooming by having a high “fun factor”.
NEW IMPROVEMENTS
Some new improvements have also done with this model that includes
1) 26xzoom lens.
2) A stereo microphone.
3) Full HD movie recording at 30 fps.
4) A new 460 000 dot rear screen.
After using it, Nikon Coolpix P100 proved to be rewarding camera.
